25 Valentine’s Cards

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you are having a great day 🙂

Another occasion marks another bulk order for me. Completed and delivered were my 25 valentine’s cards. This time I had 25 unique designs. It was very fun to make these. Inspirations keep coming as I was working with the lovely patterns in Stacked With Love DSP.

Back in Business!

After taking the longest break ever from blogging, here I am – back in business! You might be wondering where I went in the past couple of months (or not?). I will tell you anyway as a lot of the craziness was due to crafting 🙂

We had our Christmas craft fair back in November. It went well overall for both the sock animals and the cards, but something happened that really made my day – I was approached by someone who owns a pharmacy and is interested in retailing handmade cards at his store. He later put in an order of 100 handmade Christmas cards! Wow, my first bulk order ever!! I surprised myself as I completed the order in 11 days, but let me tell you – there was a lot of staying up till 2am 🙂 There were about 90 unique designs in those 100 cards. What was the most amazing was that 50 cards were portrait and 50 were landscape – this was not planned at all 🙂

I know Christmas was way past, but I just wanted to show off my achievement 😛 Enjoy!

Another card with Christmas blessings

Can you believe we are only two weeks away from Christmas?! Are you ready for the holiday season? Got all your Christmas cards made? If not, here is another card to get you inspired!

I just realized I haven’t done a challenge for so long, so I created this card to enter into the PPA148 – Seasons Greetings Color Challenge. The combination of these three colours gave a lot of elegance to my card.

  • I had the poinsettia image heat embossed in gold on both the Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The red leafy part of the image on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock was snipped out using my best friend – the Paper Snips.
  • The Paper Snips was also used to distress the edges of the Always Artichoke to create a vintage look.
  • The Cherry Cobbler cardstock in the background was dry embossed using the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, and to add even more interest to the vintage look of this card, I attached an Antique Brad to the corner – quick and easy!

  • The Basic Pearls Jewel Accents are just perfect sizes to add as finishing to the poinsettias.

Triple Layer Birthday Card

I meant to try this triple layer stamping technique for ages ever since the first time I saw someone do it. I wouldn’t say it’s an easy techinique, but it was definitely much easier than it appears. Just google triple layer stamping and you will get all information you need on how to do it. I was inspired by the PPA Sketch Challenge 143, so instead of placing each layer right in the centre of the next bigger layer, I shifted everything towards the top left hand corner.

  • The large flower image from the Elements of Style stamp set is so elegant that I think it was perfect for the triple layer stamping technique.

  • I first stamped a flower image using Pink Pirouette and then the Happy Birthday sentiment using Rich Razzleberry, and finally popped out the image using the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch.
  • The circle was matted to a 1-3/4″ scallop circle. I then pierced holes all around the scallop circle to give it an interesting final touch.

Little Friends Christmas

It’s been a crazy month! I finally had some time to sit down and make some cards. I have been wanting to use this image from the Little Friends stamp set to create a Christmas card, so here it is!

  • The image was watercolored using a Blender Pen and the Stampin’ Pads. The present on the girl’s hands was colored in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green to create the Christmas feel.
  • A piece of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper was used as the background of the card. Don’t you just love the vivid pattern of the paper?
  • I punched the edges of a square piece of Gumball Green card stock using the Scallop Trim Border Punch to create a frame. To do this, just punch once right in the middle of the edge length. Four Basic Rhinestones were added to the four corners of the frame to give the card the bling it deserves.

  • The Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon tied in a knot was there to embellish the card.
