Itty Bitty Baby Girl Card (PPA236)

This is my second post today. A New Year comes with New Year’s resolutions. I do have a few: 1) Get more exercise (bought an exercise bike, and now I just need to make sure I get on it EVERYDAY), 2) Open a store on Etsy to sell handmade cards (this one requires some planning, but I will get to it in about two months) and 3) Blog more often (started just now, hopefully this will continue :)).

We are going to visit a friend’s new baby girl tomorrow, so of course I need a card. The layout was inspired by the PPA236 challenge.

PPA236I just joined Stampin’ Up as a demonstrator again, and today I received my starter kit. I couldn’t wait, so I opened all my new toys right away. What is a better time to join than during Sale-a-bration? I got to choose two freebies for purchasing the starter kit. One of the free products I picked was the Best Year Ever designer series paper. I used a small piece as a background behind the three curly petite labels. The images from the Itty Bitty Baby stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue are simply adorable! And don’t you love those little flags underneath that panel? It was cropped from the Balloon Framelits Dies which can be purchased as a bundle with the Celebrate Today stamp set. The “Celebrate!” sentiment was one of the images.

Pretty Petites cards set

I feel honoured that my Secret Garden Birthday card was selected as one of the picks in the PPA 153 Challenge, so I created the Thank You card on the left. While I was creating the card, I realized the layout was a lot of fun to work with because there are many different ways you could mat the Petite Curly Label punch out. The birthday card on the right is another version. I still have two other versions that I wanted to post, so stay tuned, and in the meantime remember there are only 12 days left where you could earn the Pretty Petites stamp set and the Petite Curly Label Punch for free for every CDN$60 you spend on any Stampin’ Up! products!

I always like these white on white cards that other people create, but I have to admit I had a hard time coming up with a design that is both CAS (clean and simple) and not boring. I discovered that it is actually much easier to use some texture. The Honeycomb Embossing Folder here definitely gives character to this card.

I like how this birthday card turns out as well because it looks both classy and elegant without too much femininity, and it’s nothing complicated at all, just some Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.

Secret Garden Birthday

Here it is! Another birthday card made using my spring catalogue new toys! The card was also entered for the PPA 153 Sketch Challenge.

  • The Framelits that coordinate with the Secret Garden stamp set are the best thing ever. They saved me a ton of time in cutting out all those flower images. Now you buy the stamp set and the coordinating Framelits as a bundle and save 15%!
  • For the main flower image, I also hand cut the middle layers and popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals to create a 3D effect.
  • A Basic Pearl was added as a finishing to the flower.

  • The Whisper White background was dry embossed using the Vine Street Embossing Folder, and the sentiment came from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. Remember you could still get both of these free by spending CDN$60 or more on any Stampin’ Up! products. There isn’t any upper limit, so if you spend $120 or more you can get them both!

Sale-a-bration – Stampin’ Up!’s biggest annual promotion is here!

It’s been a crazy start of a new year as I am taking a heavy-load course this term, and a course + a full-time job = less time to craft 😦

Sale-a-bration_flyerBut what makes me really excited is that Sale-a-bration finally started this week. It is the biggest promotion of the year for Stampin’ Up! For every CDN$60 you spend during Sale-a-bration, you get to choose 1 out of 19 free products from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. The great news is that there is no upper limit, so the more you spend the more freebies you get!

Check out the Sale-a-bration Catalogue for more details. Please visit my online store if you are interested in making purchases, or contact me at if you have any questions.

I promise I will get back on track to craft, and expect to post a card sample sometime this week, so stay tuned!
