Thank you for the thank-you gift tag!

GiftTag

Thank you Janice for coming over to craft with me, and for giving me this beautiful gift tag! I am not good at working with flower images, so I really admire how you are always so creative in using the Blossom Petals XL Punch to make flowers in different styles! And by the way, this punch is still available for sale on the clearance rack, a lot of great deals in there!

A For You card made for any occasion

Silhouette1Spring is here (ya, kind of…), so I made a card using a spring-y image. The FOR YOU sentiment is definitely the most versatile of all. You really can use it for almost any occasion, be it a birthday, thank you, congrats, mother’s day, etc. This card was also submitted as an entry to the PPA 157 Sketch Challenge.

  • I almost never completed a card without using an embossing folder. Again, here I used one of my favorites – the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.
  • The Oval Framelit was so handy. You just have to stamp, run it through the Big Shot, and you are all ready to adhere the perfectly cropped image piece to the card.
  • I needed some smaller butterflies, so I used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits to cut two of those. They came out embossed and cut, super easy!
  • A little embellishment often goes a long way, just like the mini Basic Pearl Jewel I added to the centre of the butterfly.

Pretty Petites cards set

PrettyPetites1
I feel honoured that my Secret Garden Birthday card was selected as one of the picks in the PPA 153 Challenge, so I created the Thank You card on the left. While I was creating the card, I realized the layout was a lot of fun to work with because there are many different ways you could mat the Petite Curly Label punch out. The birthday card on the right is another version. I still have two other versions that I wanted to post, so stay tuned, and in the meantime remember there are only 12 days left where you could earn the Pretty Petites stamp set and the Petite Curly Label Punch for free for every CDN$60 you spend on any Stampin’ Up! products!

I always like these white on white cards that other people create, but I have to admit I had a hard time coming up with a design that is both CAS (clean and simple) and not boring. I discovered that it is actually much easier to use some texture. The Honeycomb Embossing Folder here definitely gives character to this card.

I like how this birthday card turns out as well because it looks both classy and elegant without too much femininity, and it’s nothing complicated at all, just some Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.

Thanks so much!

Hi All, here is my other card to the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO246).

Yep, I have used Betsy’s Blossoms again… absolutely in love with this set! I thought I would create a “Thanks so much” card in order to thank you all for checking out my blog. In this card, I’m showcasing a few of the In Colors: Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.

  • I stamped the leaf image from Betsy’s Blossoms in Gumball Green to create a background on the Floral District Designer Series Paper, and I have to say I love how unique this turns out, especially with the matching Gumball Green 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon.
  • The sentiment came from the Tiny Tags stamp set, and it was punched out using the Jewelry Tag Punch. This set is a great way to add a sentiment to the card without overwhelming the design.
  • The Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder for the some nice texture.
  • The flower image was punched out using the 1” Circle Punch, and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensional on the square which was popped out using the 1-1/4” Square Punch.
  • Of course, adding the Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers gives a perfect finishing touch to the card.

Stamp Set:  Betsy’s Blossoms (Wood-Mount 126004, Clear-Mount 126006), Tiny Tags (Wood-Mount 118091, Clear-Mount 118592)
Paper:  Floral District Designer Series Paper (126919), Raspberry Ripple (126842), Whisper White (100730)
Ink:  Gumball Green (126861), Summer Starfruit (126991), Raspberry Ripple (126859), Baja Breeze (126960), Tangerine Tango (126946)
Cool Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Perfect Polka Dots Folder (117335), 1” Circle Punch (119868), 1-1/4” Square Punch (119865), Jewelry Tag Punch (117190)
The Perfect Touch:  Gumball Green 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon (126848), Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
