Masculine birthday

MasculineBirthday1

I sometimes find it quite challenging to create cards for guys, but maybe because most of the stamp sets I own contain more feminine images. The Up,Up & Away set actually made it pretty easy to create a scenery that is suitable for a masculine card. The is also the first card I created for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge (Freshly Made Sketches 81).

  • The Cloudy Day Embossing Folder was used to create a perfect background for the hot air balloons.

  • I used products of a few colours that are soon to retire: River Rock, Not Quite Navy, Riding Hood Red and Bashful Blue. Remember retiring colour products are only available while quantities last. Inventory for the Not Quite Navy cardstock has already been depleted, so at least get the ink while you still can!
  • The sentiment came from a retired stamp set, but you can always substitute it with a sentiment from any other current set. This card doesn’t have to be used for birthdays. A congrats sentiment would work as nicely!
